Anniverary-show-2017-Andrea-pose-splitWah Lum Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy of Malden, MA, is a world-class representative of the Wah Lum Kung Fu of U.S.A., a kung fu system with roots in Greater Boston for almost 50 years, with robust national and international presence. The Wah Lum Malden Academy is well established in Malden and Quincy for almost 15 years and has served as a hub for healthy mind, body, spirit, and community development for all ages. Members of Wah Lum Malden Quincy are not only passionate about promoting the arts of Chinese cultures in dragon dance, lion dance, kung fu, and tai chi, but also committed to meaningful and impactful community and civic engagement. We strongly embrace social justice as a part of our identity.  The program highlights female members and those who have identified as gender neutral, nonbinary.  This is a sector in the community that at one point in time, was prohibited to learn and practice kung fu and lion dance.

On With Living and Learning’s Night OWLLs series brings culture-specific programming to Assemblage, welcoming a range of underrepresented voices and audiences to the Fort Point Arts Community, and opening up space for collaboration and conversation around a diversity of perspectives.

This is an ADA accessible venue.
