When you are done taking photos, you can move on to Quincy Market, which is a popular space for different kinds of events all year long. Catch events in the afternoon towards the evening, and enjoy the many stores, restaurants, and stops in the area.
If you don’t mind a short 20-minute drive, you should definitely check out the Stone Zoo, which is located in Stoneham. Marvel in nature’s regal beauty as the winter exhibits include animals such as wolves, cougars, black bears, and more. The best time to visit is in the morning, as it closes early at 4pm.
If you are spending a couple of days in Boston during the holidays, take note that there are plenty of places where concerts and other shows take place, such as the Boston Opera House. In addition to musical performances, you may also want to try alternative programming, like performances by The Boston Ballet. Simply check online for times and ticket availability and you’ll be all set.

We recently reopened our winter pop-up bar, which includes a new, spacious heated enclosure and the launch of a small bites menu. Our highly-sought after illuminated igloos have also returned – which are heated and outfitted with seating and blankets for those chilly winter nights.
Each igloo holds up to 10 people and may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Igloos are available on a first come, first serve basis, though we strongly recommend making a reservation in advance.
