Cozy Winter Hideaways in the Boston Seaport District
Winter in Boston is no joke. The city gets very cold, but Bostonians know how to make the best of it. Destinations are designed for premium warmth and coziness. From our cozy guest rooms and surprisingly toasty rooftop bar to a highly anticipated winter market, the Boston Seaport District provides plenty of winter escapes.
To help navigate it all, here’s our brief guide to the coziest winter hideaways in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood.
The Envoy Hotel
Travelers looking for a luxurious and comfortable hotel in the Seaport this winter will especially love The Envoy. The creatively designed guest rooms offer a warm retreat from the chilly winter winds. At the same time, they feature floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views of the city, often dusted with snow. In addition to our cozy guest rooms, The Envoy Hotel’s dining and drinking establishments offer particularly winter-friendly vibes.
Igloos at Lookout Rooftop
Most outdoor bars close for the winter in Boston, but not Lookout Rooftop here at The Envoy Hotel. This winter, the Boston Seaport rooftop will offer heated igloos for up to ten people to reserve and enjoy at a time. This special experience will be complemented by specialty winter cocktails, and a variety of delicious small plates. For more dining, guests can head inside to our comforting onsite restaurant.
Para Maria
Our onsite Latin-inspired restaurant in the Seaport features a lively interior accented by colorful works of art. The space has a cozy familial atmosphere, a perfect hideaway in the winter. Here guests can settle in for breakfast and dinner. For dinner, warm up with hot appetizers like patatas bravas with calabrian chili. The Para Maria burger and Cuban-style braised cauliflower are undeniably comforting entrees.
Neighborhood Bars & Restaurants
Want to explore cozy and comforting restaurants in the neighborhood beyond Para Maria? Then consider a seafood dinner at Ocean Prime, pasta at Strega Italiano Seaport, or a hefty steak from Morton’s The Steakhouse. For a classy, seasonal cocktail beyond Lookout Rooftop, check out Paris Seaport Bar & Creperie, Committee, and Gather.
The Holiday Market at SnowPort
Every December, one of the best holiday markets in Boston takes over the Seaport during most of the month. The market features small, local, independent vendors that make art, candles, stationary, food, jewelry, home decor, gourmet gifts, and more. The Tuscan Kitchen tent at the market will also feature specialty winter cocktails and seasonally-inspired dishes.
