A pioneer has emerged in the Innovation District of Boston. The AAA Four-Diamond rated Envoy Hotel is bold, yet easy going. Our rooms and suites are set around the water, with gorgeous urban views. 2017 marks a fantastic year for you to visit this fine city with your family. When planning a first time trip, it’s going to be difficult to see all the city has to offer at once. However, by keeping the members of your family in mind, they’re bound to all have a wonderful time.
First and foremost, deciding where to stay is a big key to a successful family vacation. Here at The Envoy Hotel we have 136 rooms, providing a uniquely efficient, yet comfortable stay. Our carefully considered details are a breath of fresh air compared to most other accommodations. Our hotel’s cleanliness and charm are easily noticeable from the moment you step foot inside. Most rooms feature a workspace and Wi-Fi, a great combination for getting some writing or work done amongst your itinerary.
Once your reservations are booked for the weekend, you’ll want to decide on what you’re be visiting and seeing while you’re here in Boston. We’re only a few blocks away from Boston Common, a central public park that has quite a bit of history behind it. This makes for a great first stop during the day. Near this area there are many shops, stores, and restaurants to eat at for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
One of our family favorites that should always make the list is the New England Aquarium. A comprehensive experience in and of itself, the building is gorgeous and is home to over 20,000 animals. The largest display tank is over 200,000 gallons of water, with many different exhibits and shows throughout the pavilion. From penguins to sea stars, snails to scorpionfish, this adventure will take up the better part of a day. Tickets are available on NEAQ.org.
Another great family spot is catching a MLB Boston Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park during the season. The park has a lot of great history behind it, and affordable package rates on tickets are available. What could be better than a family day at the ballpark? Peanuts, hotdogs, and a couple homeruns will keep things entertaining. If it’s not during the season, check out our Calendar of Events page for more details on what’s happening around Boston. There’s truly something for everyone.
